Ethical complexities of “Designing for Good”

This talk explores the ethical implications of attempting to Design for Good in complex environments where there are likely to be unintended consequences. Things are never as straightforward as they seem, and problems arise when different people have slightly different views of what “good” is. With a case study from Data Service Design for the NHS, we will discuss the value of Human-centred design in breaking down silos and establishing common ground in multi-disciplinary teams.
