Head Of Digital - Alzheimer's Society

Dementia Connect: A new national service to help and support people affected by UK’s biggest killer.

The Dementia Connect service empowers and gives choices to people affected by dementia to independently manage their condition, support their needs and remain active within their community through appropriate information, advice, signposting, and support.

To support this new service the digital team at Alzheimer’s Society developed a digital prototype to explore ways to help people to find and connect to relevant information and support when they need it, help them connect to further help and support as well saving, sharing and retrieving help content via the website as quickly and easily as possible.

The team are now turning aspects of the prototype into a product launching in November 2019, this talk will provide an update on the product development so far and how people affected by dementia are shaping the journey as we learn more about their needs and how to support them.
