UX research in healthcare: insights on the road to a better life

The Listening Lab was founded by Diabetes UK to involve people in the development of products and services. Today, the UX lab and research team are used by startups, companies and designers developing health tech innovations inside and outside the diabetes space. In this presentation we will share how insightful research in healthcare looks not just at biology and physical processes, but also at psychological factors and effects, and how those two play out in a social context. We will illustrate this with case studies from recent research projects, and learnings for your own research.

About the speaker:

Sabrina is a user researcher with a deep interest in social impacts and designing for good. She has worked in marketing and graphic design positions in the US and Colombia prior to pursuing a Master’s in Human-Computer Interaction Design from City, University of London. She now works as a User Researcher and UX Lab Supervisor at the Listening Lab, working with both in-house and external clients in the HealthTech sphere and beyond.
