Welcome to HCID Open Day 2024, a UX conference run by the Centre for Human Computer Interaction Design (HCID) at City, University of London. The theme is ‘Design for All’. With the strands of People – widening participation, inclusion, accessibility, Planet – considering designs impact on the natural world alongside how to design sustainably, and Practice – best practice and new techniques relevant to the theme. This builds on our previous themes of ‘Design for Good’ and ‘Design Better’.
The Centre for Human Computer Interaction Design (HCID) have chosen to continue focusing on how design can be a force for good as we believe it reflects the kind of work we are currently doing, and that its every designers responsibility to consider the impact of their work.
This year we are charging professionals a non-refundable fee of £15 per ticket to contribute towards catering costs. Students and new career entrants will be able to book free tickets.
