Manager in Customer Strategy and Insights - Deloitte Digital
Organisations are increasingly adopting Generative AI, recognising its potential to revolutionise workflows and reshape the future of work. This drive stems from both clearly identified user needs and broader aspirations for business improvement, leading to approaches ranging from bespoke design to the adoption of off-the-shelf products. While sometimes introduced as a targeted solution to a known problem, GenAI may also act as a disruptor, challenging established processes. This talk explores how GenAI is disrupting implementation practices, and impacting everything from research and evaluation methods through to governance and policy. It also examines how the very promise of a tool designed for diverse tasks can paradoxically overwhelm users focused on their immediate work.
Carol is a researcher at Deloitte Digital, where she works with clients to bring user-centred design thinking into transformation projects to improve internal ways of working. She’s fascinated by the complex points of friction that can hinder change in large organisations, such as cultural barriers, legacy processes, and siloed workarounds. She has a deep empathy and curiosity for why things are the way they are, and is always obsessing about how to prod at the status quo to make things better for businesses and their people.
