In a world shaken by overlapping crises, from climate change to social fragmentation, linear thinking falls short. This talk explores how strategic design offers a powerful approach to navigating complexity and uncertainty. First we will look at the theory that crisis are not isolated events but cyclical patterns, within a wider context, then challenge the inevitability of an upturn and discuss how we might be able to break the cycle for good.

About the speaker:

Christoph has been working as a designer in the field of digital products since the early 2000s, centering humanity in his work. His most recent topics of concern are the decolonization of technology, as well as the risks and opportunities that increasing digitization entails for the marginalized. He works as a freelance designer and consultant in the area of Inclusion and teaches design at the Macromedia University Hamburg.
