How do we work towards fairer technological futures for people and planet? In this talk I will turn to the power of cooperation and the opportunities that come with making critical connections between different efforts to re-shape technological directions for social justice in uncertain times.
Clara Crivellaro is Reader in Digital Social Justice at Newcastle University’s Open Lab. For the last ten years she has researched how the design of participatory structures and socio-technical processes can contribute to advancing civic participation in digital societies towards asocial justice goals. Clara has a background in Arts and Design and curatorial practice. Before joining academia, she worked as a socially engaged artist.
